Pandemic Exercises
FSIS has conducted tabletop exercises simulating an influenza pandemic. The exercises were held at USDA's Emergency Operations Center in Washington, DC and featured participants from industry and consumer groups.

Food Defense Exercises: After Action Reports
USDA is actively addressing the need to maintain the safety and defense of the country's food supply. The exercises focus on the roles of Federal, State and local government agencies, and the food industry to work together to detect, respond to, and recover from a non-routine emergency incident.

H5N1 Avian Influenza Outbreak Exercise - Summary Report (Oct 16, 2006; PDF Only)
On September 13, 2006, USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) and Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) conducted a tabletop exercise simulating an outbreak of H5N1 avian influenza in commercial poultry, backyard flocks, live bird markets, and wild bird populations.
