Edward R. Laskowski, M.D. of Rochester, Minnesota Dr. Laskowski has been a member of the Mayo Clinic staff since 1990. Currently, he serves as co-director of the Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine Center and a professor at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. His specialty areas include sports medicine, fitness, and strength and stability training. Dr. Laskowski is an elite-level skier and an avid hiker, cyclist and climber. Dr. Laskowski has been able to combine his personal interest in athletics and professional interest in health serving on the medical staff of the Chicago Marathon and as a consulting physician to the National Hockey League Players’ Association. At the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, he served on the medical staff at the Olympic Polyclinic. He is a featured lecturer at the American College of Sports Medicine’s Team Physician Course and a contributing editor of the Mayo Clinic’s “Fitness for EveryBody” book.
