HUD
is conducting the national "Healthy Homes for Healthy Kids" campaign,
an outreach effort to inform parents about health and safety hazards
in the home.
This
can include lead paint, mold, moisture, and pests like mice and
cockroaches. The objective of the campaign is to increase awareness
of the relationship between the indoor environment and health; identify
potential treatment methods to address housing-related hazards that
adversely impact health and provide information about local resources
at each venue.
The
goal of the campaign is to make the community more aware of the
connection between health and the home environment and to educate
participants aware of available programs and enroll eligible participants
on-site.
