- NED Replaces X.500 Directory: The NASA Enterprise Directory (NED) is an Agency-wide online employee information directory. It is the primary storage location for all Centers’ directory information and should be considered the most reliable source. NED is replacing the X.500 Directory. - National Asian Pacific American Heritage Month: The month of May has been proclaimed as Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. In honor of this observance, the Office of Equal Opportunity and Diversity Management has compiled a list of local events planned throughout May. Contact: Judy Phillips, 358-4589.
- Office 2007: Microsoft Office 2007 is being deployed in a phased approach to all ODIN-supported desktop and laptop Windows computers at Headquarters. The Microsoft Office 2007 suite is a major overhaul of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access. Windows users are encouraged to review support documentation and get familiar with the new features and differences prior to the upgrade. - FedTraveler.com Launches at HQ!: The FedTraveler.com web-based application has arrived at NASA Headquarters.
This agency-wide implementation
is part of the eTravel initiative developed in response to the 2002 President’s Management Agenda
(PMA). FedTraveler.com replaces the Gelco Travel Manager system. The new system
provides travelers with end-to-end travel processing. For questions about training, contact the HQ Travel Office, 358-2301.
- HQ Employees Must Have An IdMAX Account: All NASA HQ users must have an account on the Identity Management and Account Exchange (IdMAX) system. IdMAX is the Agency gateway to the tools necessary to gain access to IT systems, to update your personal information in NASA’s employee information directories, and (for new employees) to obtain a NASA badge. Web Access (OWA): OWA is a way for users to access
e-mail and calendar services remotely using the Internet. Go to

OWA and log in with your HQ domain username and password. This is a secure site. Instructions are available

Up E-mail Subscription Option: The Heads Up newsletter
is available by e-mail subscription only. View archived
issues on the Heads Up Online Web page. Hard copies are posted twice each week at the building's
elevator banks. For assistance with subscribing to Heads Up, contact
