Subject: KAP study has been conducted among the prostitutes in the brothel in Dhaka & Jessore City in Banglades. Basic knowledge and practices of the prostitutes in regard to prevention of AIDS. A statistical average was done out of which conclution was made.This study was also about the measurement of the condom use & the motive for condom use. Survey was done with regard to assessment of the prevelance of STD & AIDS among the commercial sex worker & the persons not only client but also associated with the prostitution in their daily life. Results: The study showed that the Commercial Sex workers have no knowledge about HIV & AIDS prior to our intervention. As a result of intervention the commercial sex workers be come conscious about AIDS and condom use, percentage condom use is increased to about 55% on regular basis and 25% occassionally and the rest 20% CSWs do not use condom. Conclusion: Free supply of condoms & counselling shall make CSWs use condoms which shall also play an important role in prevention and control of AIDS, effectively.
