- Trinity Summit High Country Grazing Analysis
Proposed Action
Lower Trinity Ranger District proposes to continue livestock grazing in the Trinity Summit High Country area under an adaptive management strategy that is intended to improve range and riparian conditions while still contributing to the economic stability of local livestock owners. The allotments under consideration are located adjacent to the eastern boundary of the Hoopa Valley Indian Reservation and include portions of the Trinity Alps Wilderness. Six Rivers National Forest will be preparing an Environmental Impact Statement that is anticipated to be published in Summer 2009. We encourage the public to view the proposed action and provide comments to help us identify concerns and issues. Information on how to provide comments is found within the scoping document. The Horse Linto, Mill and Tish a Tang Watershed Analysis (below) provides background information for the project area.- Proposed Action (pdf 77kb)
