  • In 2006, 87.8 percent of all individuals arrested in metropolitan counties were age 18 and over.
  • Persons between the ages of 18 and 24 comprised 28.0 percent of all arrestees in metropolitan counties.
  • Juveniles (persons under age 18) comprised 13.6 percent of all persons arrested for violent crime in metropolitan counties. Juveniles accounted for 23.6 percent of individuals arrested for robbery offenses.
  • Arrests for driving under the influence accounted for 13.5 percent of all arrests in metropolitan counties in 2006. Drug abuse violations accounted for 12.8 percent of arrests.
