Management Consulting Services (MCS)

Management Consulting Services (MCS) is a division of the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development. The division was conceived to meet specific consulting needs of tribes, Indian businesses, corporations, foundations and government agencies. Primary consulting expertise consists of Event Planning & Management, Strategic Planning, Group Facilitation and Economic & Business Development Planning. The MCS division operates under NAICS 541611 for federal contracting purposes.

  • On Line Registration
  • On Site Registration & Management
  • Logistics Planning & Coordination

  • Attendee Statistical Profiles & Analysis

Our comprehensive event management services are designed to produce a stress-free, successful event for your organization.

Strategic Planning

Strategic Planning determines where your organization is headed in the future. The Participatory Strategic Planning Model utilized by the MCS Division allows your organization to map out specific directions. The five core components of the model include:

  • Formation of a Practical Vision
  • Identification of underlying Contradictions
  • Construction of overall Strategies
  • Developing specific Actions
  • Implementation of the actions

The benefits of this strategic planning process is that specific plans are developed, there is greater commitment by individuals, more innovation is generated, a common decision-making framework is utilized and the process encourages initiative and responsibility.

As the management guru Peter Drucker once stated “If you don’t know where you’re going, any plan will do.”

Let the strategic planning experts at the National Center assist in mapping out your organization’s future.

Group Facilitation

Group facilitation is a participation method that is a lost art. Without “methods” participation degenerates into a situation where group members say and do anything they want. Little is accomplished and those involved feel their time and energy has been wasted.

Professional facilitation methods are practical tools for enabling highly energized, productive and meaningful participation. Benefits include:

  • Group structure which prevents the group from aimlessly drifting
  • Very versatile structure that works with all types of groups
  • Provides a directional focus and real listening
  • Helps eliminate politicking and power plays
  • Discourages negative thinking
  • Draws both rational and emotional responses
  • Helps come to a group consensus where everyone has input

The MCS Division will make your group meetings more productive and cost effective.

Economic & Business Development Planning

The MCS Division assists tribes and Indian businesses in their economic and business development endeavors. We supply such diverse services as:

  • Comprehensive Economic Development Planning
  • Feasibility Studies
  • Business Plans
  • SBA 8(a) Certification & Modeling
  • Grant Writing
  • Project Management

Let the MCS experts help structure and facilitate your economic and business development ventures.
