Unemployment in the United States in recent years has fallen to unprecedented levels. The thousands of Americans who still remain unemployed, however, do not take solace in these statistics. Many of these Americans reside in Renewal Communities, Empowerment Zones, and other urban areas. These citizens often suffer the additional burdens of depression and loss of self esteem that can accompany the unemployed. These Americans are usually working hard to find regular, dignified employment but just need assistance in finding it. Fortunately, there is valuable employment information available on the Internet that may fill this need for many of these persons. Please visit the links on this page for job-creating strategies and opportunities from the U.S. Department of Labor as well as from Job Corps.
