The
Office of Affordable Housing Preservation operates to achieve the following goals:
- Preserve
affordability and availability of low income rental housing
- Reduce
the costs of Federal Housing Assistance
- Enhance
HUD's Administration of Federal Housing Assistance
- Address
financially and physically troubled projects
- Correct
management and ownership deficiencies
Under
the leadership of Theodore K. Toon, the Deputy Assistant Secretary, OAHP is divided
into two areas of business: Preservation and Portfolio Management.
The Director of Preservation is Phyllis Cozzens and the Director of Portfolio
