Alzheimer’s Disease Supportive Services Program (ADSSP) Resource Compendium

The Alzheimer’s Disease Supportive Services Program (ADSSP) National Resource Center provides technical assistance to states developing and implementing community-based services for individuals and families impacted by Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders (ADRD). In addition, the Center offers information for professionals who serve persons impacted by ADRD, their family members or caregivers.

The ADSSP National Resource Center conducts case studies that serve to describe and analyze specific grantee initiatives. The purpose of these case studies is to provide information to states, consumers, and providers on how AoA’s ADSSP program can help to improve the care system for people with Alzheimer’s disease and their caregivers. In particular, these case studies:

• Identify policy issues related to services for people with Alzheimer’s disease and their families
• Identify implementation barriers and ways of overcoming them
• Assess how selected sites are addressing the goals of the ADSSP

AoA promotes evidence-based intervention models that help people with Alzheimer's disease and related disorders (ADRD) to remain in their communities. This can be translated into effective programs that are administered at the community level through the Aging Services Network and its partner organizations.
