ADOLESCENT FAMILY LIFE RESEARCH AWARDS - FY 2008

Assessment of Past Adolescent Family Life Research & Suggestions for the Future

Brandeis University
Waltham, Massachusetts
Principal Investigator:  Lorraine V. Klerman, Ph.D.
Project Period: 9/1/2008-8/31/2009

This cooperative agreement is a collaborative effort between the Office of Population Affairs and the project team.  The program will accomplish two major tasks: (1) review, assess, and summarize AFL’s historical research; and (2) develop future topics for the AFL research agenda, using input from an expert work group.  Results from both tasks will be used to inform interventions and programs that serve adolescents.  The overall objective of this AFL Research cooperative agreement will be to increase the program relevance of future research.

The project will be similar to the, “Future Directions for Family Planning Research: A Framework of Title X Family Planning Service Delivery Improvement Research,” an OPA contract completed a few years ago.
