Organizational Function: Products and Services
In addition to promulgating human capital policies and providing agencies
with the tools and systems to implement those policies, OPM also provides
agencies a wide range of services, some on a reimbursable basis.
The outcomes for Goal 3 include:
Everyone dealing with OPM gets the highest level of timely and
quality service;
Agencies have access to the most efficient and effective human
capital services;
Government leaders are better able to meet the strategic goals
of their agencies;
Annuitants receive full and accurate monthly annuity payments
when they are due;
Employees receive more consistent benefits counseling;
Health Plans are accountable for the quality of services provided
to program customers;
Insurance program customers experience improved quality of health
care;
The incidence of fraud in the Federal Employees Health Benefit
Program is reduced;
Life insurance payments are timely and accurate; and
Federal employees and retirees take full advantage of long-term
care insurance offerings.
Over 137 full time permanent workers came on board in FY 2001.
