• JAY FIRE INFORMATION UPDATE - Montrose, CO (September 26, 2008) – The Montrose Interagency Fire Management Unit (MIFMU) continues to work on containing and controlling a wildland fire located approximately 6 miles north of Hotchkiss, CO. The “Jay Fire” is burning largely in oakbrush on Bureau of Land Management and privately-owned lands in the area. The fire did not experience any additional growth yesterday and remains at about 127 acres in size. - (PDF)

• JAY FIRE INFORMATION - Montrose, CO (September 25, 2008) – The Montrose Interagency Fire Management Unit (MIFMU) is working on a wildland fire located approximately 6 miles north of Hotchkiss, CO. The “Jay Fire” is burning largely in oakbrush on Bureau of Land Management and privately-owned lands in the area. The fire is currently about 127 acres in size and is burning on about 50% BLM and 50% private lands. No known structures are threatened. - (PDF)

• ALBIN WILDLAND FIRE USE UPDATE - Montrose, CO (August 1, 2008) – The Montrose Interagency Fire Management Unit reports that the Albin Wildland Fire Use fire located about 6 air miles north/northeast of the town of Norwood has grown to approximately 300 acres in size. - (PDF)
