FDA Testimony on Raw Milk

"Raw milk is inherently dangerous and should not be consumed. Raw milk continues to be a source of foodborne illness within the United States.
Pasteurization destroys pathogens which might be expected to be present in milk and most other vegetative microbes besides. Pasteurization does not appreciably alter the nutritive value of milk.
Claims to the contrary by raw milk advocates are without scientific support."
