Public Defense Services Commission
The Public Defense Services Commission is an independent, 7-member commission in the state judicial branch but outside the state court system. The Chief Justice appoints the members. Members may not be judges, current prosecuting attorneys, or in law enforcement. The Chief Justice serves as a non-voting, ex officio member.
