Abstract:
The EPA is proposing to amend the standards of performance for large municipal waste combustors to extend the period of time permitted for two types of malfunctions for purposes of compliance with the emission limits for carbon monoxide (CO). The two types of malfunctions are loss of boiler water level control and loss of combustion air control. The amendment would only affect CO emissions during the two types of malfunctions. No other emissions limits or other types of malfunctions would be affected. This file is the text of the proposed rule.
