Robert Mase
Jet Propulsion Laboratory

Bob Mase, 33, is the Mission Manager for the 2001 Mars Odyssey mission. At JPL for 10 years, his previous work included roles on the navigation teams for the Mars Observer mission, Galileo mission to Jupiter, and the Mars Global Surveyor mission. He holds a bachelor's and master's degree in aeronautical and astronautical engineering from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana. Born in Naples, Florida, he resides in Pasadena, California.
