Nationwide in 2007, persons under the age of 25 accounted for 44.4 percent of all arrestees.
Individuals under the age of 25 comprised 45.3 percent of all arrests for violent crime and 54.6 percent of all arrests for property crime.
Persons under the age of 25 accounted for 50.4 percent of those arrested for murder and 64.7 percent of those arrested for robbery.
Of all persons arrested for arson in 2007, 28.0 percent were under the age of 15; this was the highest percent distribution for this age group among all offense categories.
