NORTHERN DISTRICT OF OHIO AT TOLEDO You are permitted to stay overnight in a hotel while serving your jury duty at the Federal Court, if you live at least 60 miles one way from the courthouse. You may stay all night in a hotel on the night before you come to court, after calling to confirm if your service is still needed as specified in your Notice to Report before coming to Toledo, if it is your first day of service. We do not recommend specific hotels, nor do we pay the charges at the hotel for you. All arrangements with the hotel must be made by the juror, including reservations and payment. By showing your hotel bill to the jury clerks when you check in, we will mark your voucher to reimburse you $117.00 for each night's subsistence. Your subsistence rate will be paid to you in your check along with your mileage, parking, tolls, and attendance fees. For your information, listed below are some hotels in the downtown area, along with their government rates as of October, 2006, which are subject to change and based upon availability. Please check the price when calling for your reservations. The government rate may not be available at all times. You must mention while you are making reservations that you are a federal juror to obtain the government rate. If you need proof of the fact that you are serving on jury duty, we will provide you with an Attendance Certificate to show the hotel. The following are area hotels that offer government rates. Park Inn - Downtown Toledo Wyndham Hotel - Downtown Toledo You may stay at any hotel you desire. Please bring in a copy of your bill so that we may reimburse you for your room.
