Of all persons arrested in the Nation's cities during 2005, 75.9 percent were male.
Among those people arrested in 2005 for violent crime, 81.8 percent were male.
In 2005, males made up 66.7 percent of all people arrested for property crime.
Females made up 50.7 percent of all people arrested in 2005 for embezzlement and 67.2 percent of those arrested for prostitution and commercialized vice.
