UNDER NEW STRUCTURE
Washington, D.C. -- The Executive Committee of the Interagency Advisory Group will sponsor the "Partners for Change" conference to provide federal personnel officials and other members of the personnel community a forum from which to learn about improvements to strategies, approaches and methods in the delivery of human resource services.
The "Partners for Change" conference will be held at:
National 4-H Conference Center
7100 Connecticut Avenue
Chevy Chase, Maryland
Wednesday and Thursday, June 1 - 2
8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
One year after the initial summit that brought together personnel specialists and members of the Administration to prepare a blueprint for rebuilding the federal personnel structure, this year's conference will report on the accomplishments that have been made and the future direction of the human resource office in a reinvented government.
Media are invited to attend the remarks of: Jim King, Office of Personnel Management Director; Ms. Elaine Kamarck, Senior Policy Advisor to the Vice President on the National Performance Review; Mr. Louis Csoka, Ph.D., Research Director of Human Resources and Organizational Effectiveness, The Conference Board; Mr. Larry Cabler, Director of Business Development, IBM; and, Ms. Marilyn Hay, Director General, Civilian Human Resources Management, Department of National Defense (Canada).
