Preapplication Review -
International Reactor Innovative and Secure (IRIS)
In April 15, 2004, representatives of Westinghouse Electric Company met with staff from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to discuss the company's
plans for pre-application review of its 335-MWe advanced light-water reactor design, known as International Reactor Innovative and Secure (IRIS). Near-term
activities will focus on the test program that Westinghouse developed to support design certification.
