OPM's USAJOBS Continues to Attract Huge Numbers of Job Seekers
Visitors top 80 million
Washington, DC - Since its launch, the U.S. Office of Personnel Management's revamped USAJOBS website has received an unprecedented number of visitors wanting to learn more about careers with the federal government.
"I am very proud of USAJOBS and the helpful options it provides," said OPM Director Kay Coles James. "To date, over 720,000 resumes have been posted...a wonderful example of how successful USAJOBS is in helping those wanting an exciting career with the federal government, one with great benefits and challenges."
USAJOBS offers the American people a useful access point to federal jobs. In addition, it gives federal agencies a powerful vehicle for educating people about job opportunities and application procedures.
In just over one year, USAJOBS (www.usajobs.gov) has logged more than 80 million visits.
And with each visit, job seekers are accessing a wealth of information while taking full advantage of the state-of-the-art tools available. The Homeland Security content has been viewed more than 1.5 million times; the Featured Job and Featured Employer sections have been seen by more than 1.3 million; and job seekers have used the "Email this Announcement to a Friend" feature almost 1 million times.
