OPM Launches Federal Government Leadership Development Program (FedLDP)

Program provides comprehensive, electronically searchable catalog of programs designed to help employees enhance and improve their leadership skills

Washington, DC - United States Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Director Linda M. Springer touted the creation of a comprehensive catalog of professional development programs offered by the federal government -- the Federal Leadership Development Program (FedLDP).

FedLDP, which is available on the OPM website, features a library of leadership development and training programs offered by numerous departments and agencies to help expand the leadership skills of current and future managers, supervisors, and executives throughout the federal government.

"This site is a one-stop reference for finding programs which will meet the career development needs of federal employees," Springer added. "Offerings are added to the catalog on a regular basis and I encourage federal employees to visit this site often to find out what new learning opportunities are available."

"FedLDP will provide more opportunities for federal employees who lead, or aspire to lead, as team leaders, supervisors, managers and executives," Springer added. "The opportunities provided by FedLDP will help employees enhance their leadership capabilities, resulting in a more effective civilian workforce."

FedLDP is located on the OPM webpage at http://www.opm.gov/fedldp/index.aspx. Information on programs can be found by searching the catalog by agency or pay level.

For more information on FedLDP or OPM please contact the OPM Office of Communications and Public Liaison at 202-606-2402.
