OPM News Briefing to Announce Benefits and Premiums for the 2009 FEHB, Dental/Vision, and Flexible Spending Account Programs

Washington, D.C. -- The U.S. Office of Personnel Management will hold a news briefing on September 25 to announce rates and features for the 2009 benefits programs.

The Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) Program covers approximately eight million federal employees, retirees and their dependents. In 2008, nearly 246,000 individuals had a Flexible Spending Account (FSA), and the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP) had more than 1 million enrollments.
