OPM Director Announces New Associate Director of Human Resources Products and Services Division

Washington, D.C. - U.S. Office of Personnel Management Director Linda M. Springer is announcing a key appointment to the OPM management team, appointing Kay T. Ely as the Associate Director, Human Resources Products and Services (HRPS) Division.

"Kay Ely is a seasoned executive with more than 25 years of public and private sector experience in a broad range of managerial and technical responsibilities," said Springer.  "I am pleased that she has agreed to undertake this key position through which she will help to further OPM's strategic goals."

The HRPS division has the significant role of administering governmentwide retirement and insurance services, and providing a variety of products and services that support Federal agencies in recruiting, assessing, staffing and building a successful and high-performing Federal workforce. About 3,400 OPM employees nationwide are responsible for carrying out these tasks.

Ely served as the Deputy Associate Director, Center for Contracting, Facilities and Administrative Services within OPM's Management Services Division.  She previously held senior positions at the Departments of Defense, Treasury, Veterans Affairs and the Office of Management and Budget, as well as within the private sector as a senior principal in a Federal civilian consulting practice.
