Washington, D.C. -- The U.S. Office of Personnel Management will convene a three-day conference in McLean, Virginia, to address current concerns and questions federal agencies have about providing employee assistance and health programs to improve the mental and physical health of employees.
The conference will be held:
The conference will focus on the professional and personal needs of the 21st-century work force and address the connection between good mental/physical health and improved employee performance. Workshops will include discussions on improving the health of an aging work force; confidentiality and the Employee Assistance Program; workplace violence; managing depression and anxiety disorders; small-budget health promotion strategies, and many more.
