FEMA Helpline Now Open 24 Hours for Puerto Rico Residents
Puerto Rico and U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) disaster recovery officials announced today that the toll-free registration and helpline numbers are now open 24 hours per day. Residents affected by severe storms and flooding beginning Sept. 21 are encouraged to apply for disaster assistance.  Individuals can begin the disaster application process by calling the toll-free registration number, 1-800-621-FEMA (3362), choose option 2 for Spanish, or 800-462-7585 (TTY) for the hearing- or speech-impaired. You can also register online at www.fema.gov.
