NOTE TO EDITORS:

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards has scheduled a public meeting of its subcommittee on planning and procedures on November 3 in Rockville, Maryland.

The subcommittee will discuss proposed activities of the larger committee and the appointment of a new member.

The meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m. in room T-2B1 of the agency's Two White Flint Building at 11545 Rockville Pike.

Those who wish to make oral statements may notify John Larkins, at 301-415-7360, at least five days prior to the meeting. Mr. Larkins may also be contacted with regard to schedule changes or to obtain further information.

Other aspects of the meeting will be described in a forthcoming edition of the Federal Register.
