The Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff has scheduled a meeting for Thursday, February 13 at 1:00 p.m. with Florida Power & Light Company at the St. Lucie nuclear plant to discuss the status of recent plant performance.

In addition, the NRC staff has asked FPL to address the status of the "Speak Out" employee concerns program, the company's views regarding the increase in the number of allegations at St. Lucie in the last several years, and any planned actions the company intends to take to ensure employees feel free to raise safety concerns to their management.

The meeting will be held at the plant in the Nuclear Training Center Building and is open to members of the public for observation.
