FBI Agents Killed During the Performance of Law Enforcement Duty

1959 - 1999

On September 1, 1999, Special Agent Paul Andrew LeVeille, a licensed FBI pilot, was killed in an aircraft accident while participating in an FBI-sponsored mountain flying pilot training course in Colorado Springs, Colorado. SA LeVeille, at the controls of the Piper Archer aircraft, was executing a box canyon turn when his aircraft crashed. SA LeVeille, along with his flight instructor, was killed instantly as a result of the impact of the aircraft into the mountain. SA LeVeille was assigned to the El Paso Division at the time of his death.
