- NARA has issued a Framework for Developing Records Management Guidance - Memo NWM 02.2009
Fourth Quarter FY 08
- NARA has issued NARA Bulletin 2008-07 - NARA Endorsement of DoD 5015.2 version 3-STD Records Management Application Design Criteria Standard.
- Memo NWM 25-2008 directs agencies involved with managing or providing content for cross-functional or multi-agency web portals to definitively declare the individual agency taking ownership of the records management responsibilities of the portal and/or website.
- NARA has issued NARA Bulletin 2008-06 - Records Storage Facility Standards.
- NARA has issued NARA Bulletin 2008-05 - Guidance Concerning Use of E-Mail Archiving Applications to Store E-Mail.
- RACO 2008 Atlanta will be held in Atlanta, GA on September 9, 2008. The theme of this year's conference is "Case Studies in Effective Records Management."
Third Quarter FY 08
- NARA has issued GRS Transmittal 21 which transmits an updated subject index for General Records Schedules 1-27.
- Memo NWM 21-2008 details Federal agencies' responsibilities regarding facility standards for storing Federal records.
- Memo NWM 19-2008 details NARA's new procedures for reporting to OMB on Federal agency progress on statutory records management responsibilities.
- NARA has issued NARA Bulletin 2008-04 - Guidance for flexible scheduling.
- NARA issued an Electronic Recordkeeping FAQ for agencies using the Federal Docket Management System (FDMS)
- RACO 2008 ATLANTA will be held in Atlanta, GA on September 9, 2008.
- The presentations from RACO 2008: Case Studies in Effective Records Management, held May 6, 2008 in Washington, DC, are now online.

- NARA has issued NARA Bulletin 2008-02 - Protecting Federal records and other documentary materials from unauthorized removal.
- NARA has released A Survey of Federal Agency Records Management Applications (2007)
- RACO 2008 is May 6, 2008 in Washington, DC. Registration opens January 22, 2008.
- NARA has issued NARA Bulletin 2008-01 - Checklist of current NARA bulletins.
First Quarter FY 08
- View the results from the FY 2007 Records Management Customer Satisfaction Survey and Training Program Impact Survey
- The presentations from RACO West 2007 in Kansas City and Fed Day at ARMA 2007 are now available.
- NARA has issued three checklists designed to assist agencies in embedding records management and electronic recordkeeping requirements into their business processes and the Federal Enterprise Architecture program. Checklists are available for Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology, the Capital Planning and Investment Control processes, and business process design projects.
