FBI
RELEASES REPORT TO 9/11 COMMISSION
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The FBI today released its "Report
to the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks
upon the United States: The FBI's Counterterrorism
Program Since September 2001."
The
report presents members of the Commission and their
staff with a detailed overview of the FBI's post-September
11, 2001, efforts to improve its ability to predict
and prevent acts of terrorism. It is intended as
a compliment to today's oral testimony of Director
Robert S. Mueller, III and Executive Assistant Directors
John S. Pistole and Maureen A. Baginski.
Director
Mueller said, "We appreciate the opportunity
to present this overview of our reform efforts,
and we hope that the Commissioners find it informative."
