Bernice Phillips-Jackson
Bernice Phillips-Jackson of New York State comes to the LSC Board after serving on the Board of Buffalo's Neighborhood Legal Services, where she brought her perspective as a former client to the program's governing body. She will serve as a client representative member of the Board.

Ms. Phillips-Jackson served as a Transitional Linkage Specialist for the Buffalo Prenatal-Perinatal Network, where she previously served as a Community Health Worker. The not-for-profit community based organization Buffalo Prenatal-Perinatal Network's mission is to work with health and human service providers and consumers to develop and implement efforts that focus on improving birth outcomes especially for populations who are at risk of poor outcomes.

Early in her career she served as a secretary for Preventive/Intensive Foster Care Services.

Ms. Phillips-Jackson earned her Associate's degree from Erie Community College.

Ms. Phillips-Jackson has three children: Florence, Daniel, and Darell.
