Civil RightsThe Civil Rights Program administered by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) provides for the prompt, fair, and impartial processing of discrimination complaints filed under the following statutes (as amended):
In so doing, the NRC's Civil Rights Program helps to eliminate or modify procedures and practices that give rise to valid discrimination complaints that are filed under these statutes. The NRC's Equal Opportunity discrimination complaint process for complaints filed under
Title VI and Title IX is administered in accordance with the regulations
established by the U.S. Department of Justice
The NRC's discrimination complaint process is also available to agency employees, former employees, and applicants, who believe that they have been subjected to reprisal for participating in an activity that is protected by the civil rights statutes listed above, or oppose practices made unlawful by those statutes.
