NOTE TO EDITORS -- ACRS SUBCOMMITTEE MEETING
A subcommittee of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Advisory Committee
on Reactor Safeguards has scheduled a technical meeting November 21 and 22 in
Rockville, Md.
The ACRS Probabalistic Risk Assessment Subcommittee meeting, which is open
to the public, will begin at 8:30 a.m. each day in Conference Room 2B3 in the NRC's
Two White Flint North Building at 11545 Rockville Pike.
The subcommittee will discuss the NRC staff's approach to risk-informed,
performance-based regulation through development of standard review plans and
associated regulatory guides. Other aspects of the meeting, including the opportunity
for public comment, are described in a Notice of Meeting published in the November 13
edition of the Federal Register.
