The National Association of Counties serves the 3,066 county governments in the United States by advancing county issues before the federal government, improving the public's understanding of county government, and assisting counties in finding and sharing innovative solutions through education and research.

National Center for State Courts

The National Center for State Courts seeks to improve the administration of justice through leadership and service to state courts, and courts around the world. The independent, nonprofit organization disseminates information to state court leaders on key national policy issues, and helps state courts advocate their policies with Congress.

National Conference of State Legislatures

The National Conference of State Legislatures is a bipartisan organization that serves the legislators and staffs of the nation's 50 states, its commonwealths and territories. The conference provides research, technical assistance and opportunities for policymakers to exchange ideas on the most pressing state issues.

National Governors Association

Founded in 1908, the National Governors Association (NGA) is the collective voice of the nation's governors and a respected public policy organization. The NGA provides governors and their senior staff members with representing states before Congress and executive agencies, developing reports on innovative state programs, and hosting networking seminars for state government executive branch officials.

U.S. Conference of Mayors

The U.S. Conference of Mayors is the official nonpartisan organization of cities with populations of 30,000 or more. There currently are 1,139 such cities in the United States. Each city is represented in the conference by its chief elected official, the mayor.
