FBI Laboratory Specialized Training Program

Forensic Photography (FST 148)

The two week course is open to photographers, police/fire investigators, evidence technicians and/or crime laboratory personnel responsible for crime scene photography. Pre-requisites are Police Photography or Latent Fingerprint Photography. In this advanced course, specialized photography is taught in addition to developing and printing as it applies to infrared reflected, infrared luminescence, ultraviolet photography and other advanced forensic techniques performed in a forensic photographic lab in relation to indentations, questioned documents, toolmarks, blood evidence, gunshot residue, burned or charred evidence, matching edges and more.
