OPM to Host Telework Training Conference on November 4

Washington, D.C. -- The U.S. Office of Personnel Management will present the "Telework -- It Works" training conference on November 4 at the agency's headquarters in the Theodore Roosevelt Federal Building. The conference is designed to help agencies meet a congressional mandate on employee telework participation and will include testimony from respected figures, including telework guru Gil Gordon.

Agencies that allow employees to telework (which lets employees work from home or other alternate site) reap benefits such as increased productivity and less employee absence for health reasons.

The conference also will provide participants with a toolkit containing a videotape, brochures, a CD with news articles and various other telework aids.
