July 31, 1998: The President today announced the nomination of John U. Sepulveda to serve as Deputy Director of the Office of Personnel Management. [News Release]

July 17, 1998: Two new publications and a comprehensive web page will make it easier for employees, retirees and human resource professionals of the federal government to access information on life insurance benefits offered through the Federal Employees Group Life Insurance (FEGLI) program. July 17, 1998: To get more bang for the taxpayer buck, U.S. Office of Personnel Management Director Janice R. Lachance will convene a "skills-building session" on July 22 in Aurora, Colorado, designed to bring about productivity-enhancing workplace harmony between labor and management interests in federal offices nationwide. July 16, 1998: Beginning next year, the Office of Personnel Management will make it possible for agencies to reduce their required Official Personnel Folder (OPF) filing by an estimated 1.6 million documents a year. At the same time, OPM has provided agencies new options for reporting some Central Personnel Data File (CPDF) records. [News Release]
