Strategic Planning

The Office of Adolescent Pregnancy Programs facilitated a strategic planning process in the late spring of 2008. This strategic planning process allowed the office to examine key focus areas to improve program performance. The three key areas identified are: Dissemination, Visibility, and Maintaining a High Standard. The office developed a work plan to target each of these focus areas. Vision
The Office of Adolescent Pregnancy Programs (OAPP) aspires to provide leadership and innovation in the field of adolescent health and well-being. We will set the example for integrity, efficiency, and accessibility.

The OAPP provides leadership in building the capacity of programs to serve vulnerable populations through the following core values:

We foster active collaboration to solve problems, make decisions, and achieve common goals amongst staff and grantees. We are committed to being proactive in communication with our grantees, the field, and the public. Accessibility and capacity building are at the heart of what we do.

We identify emerging trends and unmet needs to ensure that the programs under our direction provide practical real world applications to the challenges adolescents and their families face today.
