Who must be notified when an agency decides to implement the child care subsidy
program?
An agency must notify its Congressional Appropriations sub-committee of its
intent to implement a child care subsidy program. It must also notify
OPM. Notifications must occur annually.
The following is a sample notification to Congress:

The (Federal agency) has decided to use the authority provided by Section
630 of Public Law 107-67 to spend appropriated funds to assist our lower
income employees with child care expenses. As required by the conference
report accompanying Public Law 107-67, we hereby notify the Subcommittee
that (Federal agency) will obligate $x for this purpose.
