Order a copy of a birth, death, marriage, or divorce certificate?
Birth certificates (from December 20, 1908 – present) and death certificates (from January 1, 1954 – present) can be purchased through the State of Ohio Vital Statistics Office online, by mail, at your county health department, or through a private vendor. For birth and death records prior to these dates, see Frequently Asked Questions Concerning Vital Records PDF.

The Vital Statistics Office also maintains abstracts of marriages and divorces that occurred in Ohio from January 1, 1954, to present. For more information, see Marriage and Divorce Information.

Check lottery numbers?
Winning lottery numbers are posted on the Ohio Lottery website.

Renew my vehicle registration?
Instructions for renewing your vehicle's registration can be found at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV).

File my income tax return electronically?
Ohio now has more ways than ever to file income taxes electronically. If you're due a refund, the Department of Taxation will send it directly to your bank account, usually within seven days. If you owe, there's an ePayment option that allows you to pay by either electronic check or credit card.

The Office of Criminal Justice Services, in conjunction with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, provides Ohio crime statistics.

Get a State Library of Ohio card?
The State Library of Ohio provides library services for state residents, who can access these services by registering for a State Library of Ohio card.
