Janet HallJanet came to Alaska in 1976 to paddle and hike across Admiralty Island in SE Alaska. Later that year, she worked with the Bristol Bay Area Health Corporation on various public health projects in the region. Since then, she has dedicated her professional career to public health planning and policy to rural communities in and outside the United States. Janet is the Program Manager for Community Planning and is detailed to the Denali Commission from Rural Alaska Community Action Program, Inc. (RurAL CAP). Janet attended Lewis and Clark College and the University of Washington where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education and a Master of Science degree in Public Health.

Janet has lived and worked in Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Paraguay and Spain and has traveled extensively throughout South America and Europe. She is fluent in Spanish and has a keen interest in the Alaskan outdoors.
