NASA's Badging Program and Physical Access Controls
at the Wallops Flight Facility

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Office of Inspector General (OIG) completed an inspection NASA's badging program and physical access controls at the Wallops Flight Facility. The objective was to focus on whether policies and procedures are in place to adequately control access to facilities including mission critical locations and facilities containing sensitive or controlled information or materials. NASA concurred with the report's six recommendations that addressed improved security controls and operational effectiveness.
