Jennifer Carrol - University of Alaska Print E-mail

Jennifer "Jennie" Carroll will serve as acting vice chancellor of the College of Rural, Community and Native Education through July 2009 while Bernice Joseph takes a professional leave of absence to pursue a doctoral degree.

Carroll began working for UAF's Interior-Aleutians Campus in 1999 as an anthropology instructor and coordinator of the Yukon Flats Center in Fort Yukon. After moving back to Fairbanks in 2005, she worked as a faculty member and program manager for I-AC before taking a position in the CRCD vice chancellor's office as interim associate dean of academics in 2007.

Carroll earned a bachelor's degree from Harvard University in 1990 and a master's degree from UAF in 1995. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in anthropology from UAF. She is a 1986 graduate of Lathrop High School in Fairbanks.
