RAY A. MORROW REPORTS AS SPECIAL AGENT IN CHARGE OF THE FBI PITTSBURGH FIELD OFFICE

Washington, D.C. – Director Robert S. Mueller announced the appointment of Ray A. Morrow, as the Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of the FBI’s Pittsburgh Field Office. In his new role, SAC Morrow will lead a diverse team of professionals assigned to fighting domestic and international terrorism as well as combating traditional criminal matters in western Pennsylvania.

Mr. Morrow began his career as a support employee with the FBI’s Identification Division in 1977. He left the Bureau in 1978 to pursue employment with the United States Secret Service Uniformed Division through 1980, followed by employment with a private security firm. Mr. Morrow returned to the Bureau in 1987 as a Special Agent. He was initially assigned to the Louisville Field Office where he investigated Organized Crime and Drugs. In 1989, Mr. Morrow was transferred to the Cleveland Field Office where he worked two years as the primary Undercover Agent in a police corruption investigation which resulted in the indictment and conviction of 30 Cleveland police officers. In 1991, Mr. Morrow was assigned to the Atlanta Field Office where was assigned to a Drug squad. In 1993, he was promoted as a Supervisor with the Director’s Protective detail, followed by a supervisory position in the Undercover and Sensitive Operations Unit. Mr. Morrow returned to the field in 1996 as a White Collar Crime Supervisor and Program Coordinator in the Tampa Field Office. In 2000, Mr. Morrow was promoted to Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the Minneapolis Field Office where he served briefly as the Acting Special Agent in Charge.

In April 2003, Mr. Morrow was promoted to Section Chief of the Resources Management Section, Criminal Justice Information Services Division, in Clarksburg, West Virginia. In April 2005, Mr. Morrow reported to the New York Field Office where he served as Administrative Division’s Special Agent in Charge.

Mr. Morrow is a graduate of Penn State University where he earned a degree in Law Enforcement and Corrections in 1977. He is married and has three children.
