1. FBI Sting Targets Child Prostitution Ring

Operation Cross Country led to the recovery of 21 children in a five-day roundup which included federal, state and local law enforcement in 16 cities across the country. Full Story

2. Washington Field Office: Major International Airlines Agree to Pay $504 Million for Price Fixing

Air France-KLM, Cathay Pacific, Martinair, and SAS have agreed to pay criminal fines for participating in a multi-year price-fixing conspiracy on international air cargo shipments. Full Story

3. Baltimore: IRS Division Director Pleads Guilty

Robert O. Steven pled guilty to conspiracy to commit money laundering in connection with a property tax refund scheme in which millions of dollars were stolen from the District of Columbia Office of Tax and Revenue. Full Story

4. Denver: Woman Arrested For Making Airplane Bomb Threat

Terrice Gay Hutchinson was arrested for falsely stating that her husband, an airline passenger, was carrying a bomb and was planning to blow up the airplane. Full Story

5. Charlotte: Twenty-Six Members of MS-13 Indicted

The FBI along with federal, state, local and international law enforcement indicted twenty-six members of MS-13 on racketeering, narcotics, firearms and extortion charges. Full Story

6. San Diego: UNUM Group Agrees to $5.5 Million Settlement

The UNUM Group, an insurance provider, agreed to pay $5.5 million in fines and penalties for failure to disclose fees and compensation agreements which had an impact on premiums. Full Story (pdf)

7. Houston: Computer Hacking Indictment

Danielle Duann was indicted on for intentionally causing damage to computer records at Life Gift Organ Donation Center, her former employer. Full Story

8. Newark: Samsung America Director Pleads Guilty

John Y. Lee, former director of Samsung America, Inc., pled guilty to embezzling more than $1 million from Samsung through a fraudulent billing scheme. Full Story (pdf)

9. Miami: Sheriff's Deputies Charged in Undercover Corruption Probe

As a result of an FBI undercover operation, Broward Sheriff’s Deputies Richard V. Tauber and Kevin D. Frankel were charged with public corruption and other charges. Full Story

10. Los Angeles: Domestic Terrorist Sentenced

Levar Washington, a member of Jam’iyyat Ul-Islam Is-Saheeh, was sentenced to 22 years imprisonment for conspiring to wage war against the United States.  Full Story
