2008 Director’s Community Leadership Awards

St. Louis, Missouri
Dave Sinclair
CEO, Dave Sinclair Auto Group
2008 Director’s Community Leadership Awards

Dave Sinclair has achieved notable successes in working with youth, the community, law enforcement, and area businesses in combatting crime, drugs, gangs, and violence. He is now the Chairman and CEO of Dave Sinclair Auto Group.

Mr. Sinclair is a long time supporter of Backstoppers, which provides financial assistance to families of police officers, firefighters, publicly funded paramedics, or EMTs killed in the line of duty. In one particular incident, Mr. Sinclair contributed funds to an officer's family after the officer died in a tragic accident at home. Since this officer was not on duty at the time of his death, his family did not qualify for funding. Mr. Sinclair generously donated funds and supported a charity event to ensure the family could pay expenses.

Mr. Sinclair sponsored the Amber Alert program for the Warren County Sheriffs Office, Warren County, Missouri. He has disseminated Child Fingerprint Kits at his dealerships in connection with education and community awareness for crimes against children. He is a supporter and sponsor of FBI National Academy Associates (FBINAA), and he hosts FBINAA functions each year.

Mr. Sinclair has partnered with Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine to promote prostate cancer awareness by offering a series of free PSA screenings at his dealerships. He is a prostate cancer survivor. He has supported our troops fighting terrorism and has paid for 100 care packages for troops fighting overseas and is a supporter of Gateway Paralyzed Vets. He supports the Missouri Police Chiefs Association, FOP Lodge 15, American Chestnut Foundation, Monastery of St. Claire Sisters of the Poor, and Queen of All Saints and other churches in the St. Louis area.
